“The director and staff of the Museo Nacional de Zaragoza, Spain, were very pleased to see this work. It expresses not only traditional techniques, but also an artist’s touch. As you polish the ink, the “scent” begins to drift away little by little. It is my favorite moment.
The encounter with the perfume, which is a perfect marriage with the scent of the ink, inspired me to create this product.

Since the timing was right for people from all over the world to gather for the Olympic season, I believe that this was an opportunity for many people to see my work.

The venue, the Royal Palace Room, was serene. Inspired by the stone wall that creates an atmosphere as if time has stopped since the Middle Ages, I expressed a mental image of introspection that transcends time and space. The stone wall that serves as a background was also created with the image of becoming a part of the work.
I had intended for the work to be displayed directly on the stone wall, but due to venue constraints, a wrinkled navy blue cloth became the background.
To those of you who have read this far.
